Wer schmiedet die besten Schwerter? Von ihren Fähigkeiten überzeugte Männer stellen sich dem Wettbewerb, Woche für Woche die berühmtesten Schwerter und antike Kriegswaffen der Geschichte originalgetreu und hochwertig nachzubilden.

Forged in Fire features world-class bladesmiths competing against each other to create some of the most iconic edged weapons from history. In each episode, four of the best bladesmiths in the country will come together to put both their skills and reputations on the line. Whether they are making a Japanese katana, a medieval broadsword, or an ancient throwing blade like the chakram, the weapons they forge will be fully functional and lethal works of art and war. The unique histories contained within each weapon will be creatively told during the forging process and the final weapons themselves will be assessed and ruthlessly tested by our panel of expert judges. These dynamic and explosive tests will be individually designed to push the weapons to their absolute limit. One by one, the bladesmiths will be eliminated until only one remains to be crowned the champion.

В каждой серии четверо оружейников (участники каждый раз новые) собираются на состязание и изготавливают какой-то один определенный вид оружия. Все изделия делаются вручную на глазах телезрителей. Мастера создают не копии, а полностью функциональное оружие, которое в то же время является подлинным произведением искусства. По окончании каждого состязания члены жюри проверят их в деле. Испытание для каждого вида оружия будет зрелищным, динамичным, и максимально приближенным к боевым условиям.

Cuatro herreros especializados compiten en la fabricación de espadas y todo tipo de armas. 'Forjado a fuego' convierte la artesanía, la leyenda y la emoción de la creación de armas en una batalla de ingenio a contrarreloj. Los concursantes compiten en una serie de desafíos eliminatorios utilizando el 'almacén' de herramientas de que disponen; cada reto se centra en la fabricación de un arma que será valorada por un reconocido grupo de expertos. La carrera para crear el arma elegida en cada episodio se convierte en un viaje por la historia de la armería con limitaciones de tiempo y un final explosivo. La serie presenta nuevas armas y concursantes, así como asombrosas pruebas a las que van a someter sus creaciones.
