Fern flies back to Thailand after Nut asked her to. She meets Nut, Win, Kluay but there is no sign of Nont. Even though her friends are generally cheerful due to nostalgia, Fern knows they are hiding something from her. No one says anything but they take her back to her old house, where the answer to everything awaits her.
