Nont's busy schedule with work takes its toll on his time for Fern. Nont finally sees Fern and learns of her father's passing. Fern is heartbroken that Nont does not even attend the funeral. Ultimately, she ends her relationship with him no matter how much it pains her since her feelings for him is now changed. Everything between them is now beyond repair for Nont.
