Im obersten Stockwerk eines Hochhauses ist ein Goldraub in Gange. Da bei ihrem Coup einiges schief läuft, nehmen die Gangster Geiseln. Unter ihnen ist auch Leo MacCarthys Freundin. Als die Ganoven einen Helikopter anfordern, wagen Leo und Rollie Tyler eine tollkühne Aktion.

A group of desperate ex-cons attempt to rob a gold exchange on the top floor of a downtown high rise. The robbery goes sour and the crooks take a group of hostages, including Leo's friend, Coleen O'Malley. Leo calls on movie Rollie, to help launch a rescue attempt by staging a phony helicopter crash on the building's roof.

Un groupe de malfaiteurs désespérés entreprend de voler une réserve d'or située au dernier étage d'un immeuble en plein coeur de New York. Le cambriolage tourne mal et les bandits sont amenés à prendre quelques personnes en otages dont Colleen O'Malley, l'amie de l'inspecteur Léo McCarthy. Alerté, Rollie Tyler propose de simuler le crash d'un hélicoptère sur le toit de l'immeuble.
