When Monta and Sena are sent to spy on the Poseidons' final practice before the game, they are caught, and Kakei tells Sena that he wants to challenge Eyeshield 21 from the Devil Bats and prove to him that he will never match up to the "real" Eyeshield 21. Sena gets past him using the Devil Bat Ghost, but Hiruma, who had been watching, tells Sena that it was not Kakei's true strength he was running against.

Hiruma consigue un trabajo de medio tiempo en una tienda de deportes, ya que así es más fácil espiar a los de Kyoshin Poseidon, manda a Sena y Monta a dejar la mercadería, pero son descubiertos por el quarterback de Poseidon. Tras una charla, Kakei desafía a Eyeshield 21 para ver quien es mejor, llegado el momento ambos contrincantes empatan gracias a sus habilidades, y esperan a que el partido dé comienzo.
Yoichi schickt Sena und Monta an die Oberschule der Kyoshin Poseidons, um diese beim Training auszuspionieren. Die beiden werden jedoch schnell vom Gegner erwischt. Shun, der bereits gegen den echten Eyeshield gespielt hat, fordert die Eyeshield-Kopie alias Sena nun zum Duell heraus.
