Jorge Newbery was a man of science and a born athlete, who was not afraid of adventure or challenge. He had an ambitious obsession: crossing the Andes mountain range from the air. And I wanted to be the first to do it. He studied the air currents, the mountain winds, investigated again and again the proper way. Death took him away as he prepared for that great moment.
