ในช่วงสงครามกรุง ศรีอยุธยาแตกนั้น ” นกยูง ” ต้องดูแลบ้านเพียงลำพัง พราะผู้บิดาต้องออกรบ บิดาจึงร่ายมนต์ บดบังเรื่อนมยุราไว้มิให้คนนอกมองเห็น เวลาผ่านเลยไปจนปัจจุบัน เนื่องด้วยเวลาในเรือนกับโลกภายนอกแตกต่างกัน นกยูงจึงไม่ทราบเลยว่าเวลาผ่านไปนานเพียงใดแล้ว เมื่อเสบียงร่อยหรอจึงจำเป็นต้องออกจากบริเวณบ้านเพื่อหาสเบียง ทำให้ได้มาพบ ” พระนาย” และเกิดรักซึ่งกันและกัน ความรักของทั้งคุ่จะลงเอยเช่นไร เมื่อทั้งคุ่มาจากยุคที่แตกต่างกัน
