Leonel is betrayed by his friend Martin, and later he meets the local boxing coach, Don Chucho. Martin, Leonel's friend and opponent in the States, lies to Leonel in an attempt to make a move on Leonel's fiancée, Grace. El Gordo, meanwhile, tries to get closer to Miss Meche's sister, Yadi. Also, Leonel is reluctant to train with the neighborhood boxing coach Don Chucho, but has a change of heart after visiting a local orphanage. Leonel manages to contact Martin, his friend and opponent in the US. Martin lies to Leonel to prevent him from coming back, thereby allowing him to court Leonel's fiancée, Grace. Ms. Meche becomes upset with Leonel after learning about Grace's existence. El Gordo, meanwhile, tries to get close to Yadi, Meche's sister. Later, Leonel is reluctant to train with Don Chucho, the neighborhood coach, but has a change of heart when he accompanies Don Chucho to meet the children of an orphanage who also train with him.
