Black and Blue: Race Relations in America

Racial tensions have reached a boiling point across the nation after the officer-involved deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland and Eric Garner, the unarmed father of six who died after being put in a chokehold by a police officer in New York. Dr. Phil examines the controversial cases and asks: What is the solution? Hear from Eric Garner’s sister and oldest daughter, as well as Michael Brown’s mother. How are they coping? And, what message do they want to share with others? Then, professional football player Ben Watson -- whose Facebook post about the Ferguson case went viral -- weighs in. Why did he decide to speak out? Plus, two black college students who allege they were racially profiled by the police talk about an encounter they say should never have happened. And, are allegations of excessive force just a black and white issue? A brother and sister say their unarmed sibling, a 20-year-old white man, was shot and killed by a police officer -- who was not charged. Tune in and weigh in: What can we learn from these tragic stories?
