Israel “Izzy” Scott was four years old, and a sweetheart with a large smile and a known love for water. Unlike many other kids, Izzy wasn’t afraid of splashing around. To him, it was all good fun. And his parents, Walter and Dori Scott, noticed their son’s inclination toward any water activities quite soon. If the boy liked it so much, they thought, maybe swimming lessons were a good gift – and a good way for their little boy to learn how to be safe and cautious, even in shallow pools.
