Donnie DuPre (Doug Walker) announces that he is going to remake the Christopher Nolan Batman movies, including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, along with Rebecca Stoné (Rachel Tietz), Tacoma Narrows (Malcolm Ray) and Carl Copenhagen (Robert Walker).
Voice actor Rob Paulsen gets harassed at a convention by DuPre, wanting him to perform the song Yakko's World from TV series Animaniacs.
Since Tacoma and Rebecca have nothing to do for Thanksgiving, with their families all but disowning them, Donnie wishes to remake Wreck-It Ralph. Meanwhile, Carl Copenhagen and his assistant, Quinn (Jim Jarosz), try to catch a loose diseased turkey that DuPre plans to use as an Angry Bird in the movie and Rebecca is driven into a manic frenzy by an extremely caffeinated drink.
With Demo Reel's videos faring poorly online and the realization that his remakes are worse than the films he was trying to improve upon, Donnie heads to Shado-Con 2012 with the intent on remaking Lost in Translation, but becomes depressed and loses motivation. Meanwhile, Tacoma and Rebecca are threatened by a mysterious specter.
Tacoma and Rebecca wake up after being unconcious for three days and play back the footage recorded of themselves so as to try and figure out what happened to them. Meanwhile, Donnie finds himself waking up in the middle of the forest after being kidnapped by SWAG and abandoned, and trying to find his way back to civilization, all the while finding no one to help him, but hearing the voice of someone laughing.
Donnie wakes up in the house of a family who obsesses over bad movies Donnie used to star in as a child actor. Tacoma and Rebecca discover Donnie's dark past. Tom, the Head of SWAG (Steve Harper), reveals himself and threatens the crew to close Demo Reel.
