Opening Sequence
Davey's Grandma tells Davey how she will see his baseball game on Saturday and how they will get together on Easter. On Thursday after baseball practice, Davey learns that his Grandma had passed away, which totally depresses Davey. On Saturday at the game, Davey sulks and can't keep his mind off his Grandma.
Davey and his friends form a handbell choir to play in church. Their first performance is imperiled when Davey and Cisco have a falling out and Davey refuses to play the following Sunday. Davey's pastor shows him the importance of responsibility and the group performs "Kum Ba Ya" after the friends' reconciliation.
Goliath's dog house is wrecked in a storm. Davey must build another one by himself, much to his reluctance and low self confidence. After resisting and trying to get his father to help (whilst disappointing his Dad,) he becomes inspired by his pastor regarding Jesus being a carpenter and finds renewed self esteem.
While attending summer camp, Davey, Goliath and friends locate and rescue the victims of a plane crash.
