小时候的李俊杰（陈伟霆 饰）家庭幸福美满，父母都是顶尖科学家。但在他12岁时，父母外派至芭城遭遇意外离世，无亲戚愿意收养的他被送入故乡崇海的孤儿院。
在孤儿院，李俊杰与时云昊（郭家豪 饰）相识，李俊杰的主动保护让两人成为彼此最好朋友。此后，李、时二人结识了亦兄亦父的陈刚（郭广平 饰），并进入芭城摩世。在摩世训练营里，两人同时结识周子萱（娜扎 饰），并都对她产生了别样情愫，周子萱却对李俊杰情有独钟，此时的时云昊选择退出，默默守护。
就在李俊杰的人生逐渐步入正轨时，一次任务中，他的冲动导致陈刚意外离世。在这次事件的沉重打击下，李俊杰选择不告而别独自追查线索，抓住凶手加莱（陈楚翰 饰）为陈刚报仇。离开摩世后的李俊杰紧跟加莱，但每次都棋差一步。一筹莫展之时，一封带有摩世标志的神秘邮件指引他回到阔别已久的芭城。回到芭城的李俊杰顶着摩世总监牟川（任达华 饰）的压力，再次与周子萱、时云昊并肩作战，并在执行护送VX3的任务时终于抓到了加莱。三人摒弃前嫌，李俊杰与周子萱重拾情感和默契，而时云昊再次失去向周子萱表白的机会。本以为抓住加莱就是事情的结束，但加莱却被劫狱救走。随后，神秘代码出现，“天蝎”组织浮出水面，陈刚被杀另有隐情，三人这才发现，这一切的背后还有更大的阴谋在等着他们……

Li Jun Jie, un orphelin dont les parents scientifiques sont morts de façon étranges quand il était enfant, fait partie d'une société de haute sécurité avec son meilleur ami Shi Yun Hao et la femme qu'il aime Zhou Zi Xuan. Malheureusement, lors d'une mission, le mentor de Jun Jie meurt assassiné suite à une erreur de ce dernier. Jun Jie démissionne alors pour retrouver le coupable. Mais ses investigations le ramènent alors à la société pour laquelle il travaillait et il réalise que derrière se cache en réalité tout un réseau criminel. Il est alors accusé et recherché pour un crime dont il est innocent.
Maintenant un fugitif, il doit non seulement venger son professeur mais aussi laver son nom.
