Bobby confides in Phyllis about his divorce and Lucy confides in Sue Ellen about the situation with Mickey. J.R. tells John Ross that he will get Ewing Oil back for him. Pamela moves back into Rebecca's house, and Cliff offers her a job at Barnes- Wentworth. Cliff recruits Sly as a spy in J.R. 's office. Mickey slips into a coma and is put on a life-support system. Mark proposes to Pamela. A lonely Bobby dates Katherine Wentworth, but also bumps into Holly Harwood, to Katherine's ire. Aunt Lil says she will not be coming to the hospital to see Mickey anymore, now that he's on life-support. J.R. tells a stunned Sue Ellen that Peter Richards has a crush on her. Ray and Aunt Lil are found in Mickey's room with the respirator unplugged.

Pam s'installe dans la maison de sa mère. Cliff lui propose de travailler avec lui. Cliff aborde Sly, la secrétaire de J.R. et lui propose d'aider son frère à sortir de prison en échange de renseignements sur J.R.. Mark demande Pam en mariage mais il est trop tôt pour elle. Bobby invite Katherine à déjeuner. Celle-ci est très désappointée lorsqu'Holly Harwood se joint à eux. Peter Richards s'occupe de John Ross et est amené à rencontrer beaucoup Sue Ellen. Mike, qui avait demandé à Ray de l'aider à mourir s'il devait vivre comme un légume, retombe dans le coma. Ray débranche les appareils qui maintiennent le jeune homme en vie.
