Die Geschichte dreht sich um fünf Schüler des Boeibu/Verteidigungsclubs (aka „Nichtstuer-Club“) der Binan-Oberschule. Hineingezogen in den Kampf zwischen zwei mysteriösen Kreaturen aus dem All, müssen sie gegen den Seifukubu/Eroberungsclub (Schülerrat) kämpfen, als die Thronfolger der „Battle Lovers“.
In the story, the high school "Earth Defense Club" is basically the "do nothing club." Club members En and Atsushi are soaking in the bathtub at a public bath when suddenly a mysterious pink creature, Wombat, appears out of thin air and asks, "I want to save this star... please would you lend me your power?" Then, Yumoto, whose family runs the bath house appears and chases wombat to give him a hug.
In school the next day, the remaining two members, Io and Ryū, also meet Wombat. Wombat gives all five of them bracelets and tells them to protect Earth. A dazzling light comes from the bracelets and envelops their bodies...

Nous suivons l'histoire de cinq lycéens faisant parti du club de leur lycée nommé Binan High School Earth Defense Club aka le club où il n'y a rien à faire. Un jour, alors que En Yufuin et Atsushi Kinugawa, 2 membres de ce club prennent un bain, un passage dimensionnel s'ouvre et une petite créature rose ressemblant à un Wombat tombe dans l'eau.
Celui-ci leur explique qu'il est un extraterrestre et qu'il veut apporter l'amour sur cette terre. Il confère alors aux membres du club des pouvoirs magiques leur permettant de devenir des magical-boys . Ils ont désormais pour mission de protéger la terre et de la remplir d'amour !
『銀魂』などを手がけた高松信司監督による、オリジナルアニメ作品。眉難（びなん）高校に通う男子高校生たちが、外宇宙から飛来した2体の謎の生き物によって「地球を守る」防衛部と「地球を征服する」征服部に分かれて繰り広げる戦いをコミカルに描く。

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! conta a história dos integrantes do “Clube de Defesa da Terra”, um clube formado por colegiais bishounens que basicamente não fazem nada. Certo dia, enquanto En e Atsushi estão num a casa de banho quando uma misteriosa criatura rosa, chamada Wombat, aparece do nada com o questionamento: “Quero salvar esta estrela… podem me emprestar seus poderes?”. Wombart então conhece Yumoto, Io e Ryu, os outros integrantes do clube, e entrega para os cinco braceletes especiais e pede oficialmente para que os rapazes protejam o planeta através do poder do amor.
En la historia, la escuela secundaria "Earth Defense Club" es básicamente el "club de no hacer nada". 《美男高校地球防衛部 LOVE！》作品以「眉難高中」作為舞台（註：眉難的日文發音同美男），就讀該高中的男孩們忽然被宇宙飛來的兩個神秘生物劃分為必須保護地球的「防衛部」、以及必須征服地球的「征服部」，而作為防衛部的五人必須變身成愛的王位繼承者「Battle Lovers」展開對戰。
