Illegal Immigrants Rescued at sea off Sembawang. On 8 Dec 2003 at 1.17am, Police Coast Guard picked up four illegal immigrants from the sea off Sembawang. The three Myanmese men and PRC woman were trying to swim across the Johor Straits into Singapore, with nothing more than a child's float and a black plastic bag of belongings.
