Documentary by Scottish Television (STV) in 1967 on the construction of the 'Queen Elizabeth II' on Clydebank and its impact on the life of the local shipbuilding community. When the Cunard Steamship Company asked John Brown to build them a ship like the 'Queen Mary' and 'Queen Elizabeth', but light enough to sail in shallow waters, the job became known as Contract 736. This is the story of that ship, and the impact it had on the community where it was built. Made in colour some two or three years before Scottish TV were broadcasting in colour!
