The Morel File

The action of the "Dossier Morel" is located in Algiers in 1943 in a half-abandoned winter garden and is transported, by successive backwards, in different places of the Paris of the Occupation. An officer of the secret services questions Lieutenant Jean Morel, aviator of the Free French Forces, who in April 43 crossed the Spanish border to go to Algeria in the French army. But at that time the Germans often sent agents to poison the French forces in Algiers and Morel was accused of being one of them. Is he really a Nazi agent? A clever guy who plays on both sides? An impulsive who has committed imprudences? Or is he totally innocent? The truth breaks out at the end of the interrogation after some rewindings on episodes likely to enlighten the investigation as the activities of Morel in Paris and its clandestine crossing of the Franco-Spanish border.

L'action du "Dossier Morel" se situe à Alger en 1943 dans un jardin d'hiver à demi-abandonné et se transporte, par des retours en arrière successifs, en différents endroits du Paris de l'Occupation. Un officier des services secrets interroge le lieutenant Jean Morel, aviateur des Forces Françaises Libres, qui en avril 43 a passé la frontière espagnole pour aller s'engager en Algérie dans l'armée française. Mais à cette époque les Allemands envoyaient souvent à Alger des agents pour intoxiquer les forces françaises et Morel est accusé d'être l'un d'entre eux. Celui-ci est-il réellement un agent nazi ? Un malin qui joue sur les deux tableaux ? Un impulsif qui a commis des imprudences ? Ou bien est-il totalement innocent ? La vérité éclate à la fin de l'interrogatoire après quelques retours en arrière sur des épisodes susceptibles d'éclairer l'enquête comme les activités de Morel à Paris et son passage clandestin de la frontière franco-espagnole.
