This is Naomi’s first mock test with me, she’s had 30 hours from a complete beginner. Due to lockdown she’s hasn’t been driving regularly. Naomi has her test coming up in just a weeks time, she has had 2-3 regular sessions prior to this mock test. She managed to book her test quickly so she doesn’t have long to go.

This video is all about clutch control and how to manoeuvre the car at slow speeds to get out of tricky spaces. Clutch control is the speed between 0-5mph To keep the car slow, the trick is to control how much you release the clutch and to squeeze back down below the biting point by about the depth of a pound coin. In this video I will be explaining the importance of keeping the vehicle slow. How to position your feet on the pedals, how to control the clutch. What happens if you over accelerate to move off?
This is Martha, she’s been driving on and off for around 6 months. She’s done around 16 hours of driving lessons. In this lesson we worked on dealing with hazards, mini roundabouts and parallel parking. This was Marthas second lesson learning how to parallel park. At first I was talking thought dealing with hazards and how to park, as the lesson progressed, she was able to do more without me having to prompt her.

In this lesson we wanted to cover big roundabouts around Isleworth. She has her driving test in around 6 weeks from when this video was filmed. There are various big roundabouts covered. How to position, when to signal and knowing when to enter at giveaway roundabouts. We also worked on how to speed up quickly on dual carriageways as well as using engine brake to slow down through the gears in a sequence.

This is Jacks 4th lesson, in his last lesson we started on small crossroads. We looked at road markings and how the priority changes depending on what side you approach. In todays lesson we did a recap on small crossroads, with the first few I was talking things through but I was soon able to cut down my instructions. I did not have to take control at any point of this lesson. Jack has already built up a good perception of his position in the road. (good clearance from both sides) We walked about hazard perception which is part of the theory test. He was unsure of when to click for hazards.

This is Aanya, she’s been learning to drive with me from a complete beginner. She’s done around 22 hours of driving in total. In todays lesson we were working on dealing with hazards on busy roads around the city. She’s driven on a variety of roads but struggles with multiple hazards on city roads. In the first part of todays lesson I was talking through how to deal with busy roads and then later she was doing things on her own as if it was a mock test. Mostly she does well but when theres a lot happening together she got into abit of trouble with road markings and forward planning.

In his last lesson we started on small crossroads on how to turn right and how to position. knowing when to go with the traffic ahead or the traffic lights In todays lesson we focused on major crossroads turning right across dual carriageways as this can be really tricky for new drivers. We also worked on changing lanes and the use of mirrors, looking at a reference for knowing how to change lanes in busy traffic. Its very important to use the interior mirror first and then the side mirrors to get a good idea to know where the other vehicles are around you. we also worked on a big roundabout on how to turn right.

In todays lesson we were driving in a very busy area, filled with pedestrians, cyclists and large delivery vehicles. Georgia has done around 20 hour of driving, mainly in London but todays lesson was in a much busier than her previous lessons. She's slowly starting to control the vehicle independently with a little guideance from me.
Episode 4: Millie's Driving Lesson on how to deal with meeting situations on narrow roads. Allowing good clearance all around the vehicle at all times. In todays lesson we mainly worked on how to deal with oncoming vehicles when there are scattered parked vehicles along both sides of the road. We started off with a talkthrough on how to give way and started with big spaces and then went on to give way in smaller spaces. Millies feeling a lot more confident with the clearance all around her while driving.
This is Adrian's first ever driving lesson in a Manual car! He has already got an automatic licence. He knows how to drive and how to deal with other road users but struggles with how to use the clutch pedal as well as changing gears while driving.

This is Marthas first official mock test, she’s been learning to drive with me from a complete beginner. Her test was two weeks after this mock test was recorded. She passed her actual test with just 3 minors! In this mock test she drives very confidently and doesn’t make a lot of errors but nearly failed with how she dealt with the bus on the bus stop with hazard lights.

This is Shanie, she started learning to drive with an instructor but she’s done most of her driving with her mum. She wanted to do a mock test with me to see if she needed to work on anything and improve her skills. She’s a really good driver but she’s picked up a few habits as he's no been driving with an instructor She’s got great awareness and planning with most of her driving. Watch how she does in this mock test! She has a habit of waiting at the biting point and this was causing the clutch to start burning to the point we could smell it in the car. Her previous instructor always taught her to drive like this and its got her into a bit of a habit. After I highlighted this issue she was fully aware of how to fix it and did really well thereafter

We talked about how to deal with big roundabouts safely and then went through each roundabout taking various exits. Initially he was a little unsure of how to select the correct lane and how to move left to exit, but by the end of this lesson he was very happy with his progress.

Mayur has never done a driving test or even a mock test before today lesson with me. He is a good driver but he had trouble selecting the correct lane at roundabouts. Watch how he drives to learn from his mistakes. He has never done an emergency stop so when I asked him to stop, he would check his mirrors and then brake lightly to stop the car. During an emergency stop the examiner will make sure its safe to stop the car and then give you a signal. DO NOT check mirrors/indicate or turn the wheel. Keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel. When you get the signal, QUICKLY react by BRAKING and then press the CLUTCH DOWN to stop quickly. IT WIL BE A HARSH STOP. After you've stopped you should secure the car in the middle of the road, the examiner will then ask you to move off again. Make sure to CHECK FROM BLINDSPOT TO BLINDSPOT before moving off. After his mock test I gave Mayur a few pointers to help him along, he had his driving test 4 days after this mock and he went on to PASS

In todays driving lesson we talked a lot about building up Millie’s confidence in her driving and not to be distracted by other road users. Even though Millie knows what she’s doing, she sometimes gets s little flustered due to other road users behind her or when there’s traffic at junctions. We also continued to work on parallel parking and then a variety of mini roundabouts in a busy area.
This is Sara’s first mock test. Her driving test was 2 weeks after this mock test. Sara was driving in a new car in a new area! She generally had good control over her vehicle but sometimes drives a little too fast on narrow roads. Sara made a lot of mistakes during this mock test but she was a lot more aware of how to continue to improve her driving leading upto there real driving test

In Today's Driving lesson Millie learnt how to reverse bay parking. This is millie's first attempt at bay parking and she does very well! Millie's got really good clutch control and this helps her while reversing into narrow spaces. We started parking In an empty car park with no cars either side. By the end of this lesson Millie was confidently parking in between parked cars and fully aware of her surroundings.

This is Lily, she's been learning to drive with her husband. Lily drives very well and doesn't waste in time in low gears, she has really good spacial awareness and deals with hazards in good time. She did struggle with yellow box junctions, knowing when its safe to enter and when to move again.
This is Mohamed’s first Mock test. He’s got his actual driving test coming up in a months time. He knows how to manoeuvre through roundabouts but doesn’t always check his mirrors before signalling or turning. He does check all around before moving off but doesn’t always do a final blindspot check.
Watch Millie’s first lesson on slip roads. In today’s lesson we started on slip roads. How to join safely and match the speed of the traffic and aslo how to slow down in good time. Block changes from 4th gear down into 2nd to control the speed of the car more easily. Millie had a little bit of trouble getting into 3rd gear but we worked on this during the lesson and by the end she was able to safely join slip roads without any guidance.
Hannah has done around 50 hours of driving lessons with another driving instructor. She booked a mock test with me to see if she will be ready for her driving test which is booked for around august. This was her first time driving with me in my car. Hannah did a little drive in my car to get familiar with the controls. She has only ever driven close to home in a vauxhall Corsa, so today was a different experience for her. She does make a few silly mistakes but with this mock test she will be able to rectify her mistakes very easily.
This is Lauren she’s done around 30 hours from a complete beginner, she has been driving with her mum in-between her lessons. She is very alert and aware of her surroundings when driving.

This is Jack, hes got his driving test in just 2 week time! Jack has done around 25 hours of driving lessons with an instructor and also practices with his parents in his own car. Watch his mock test to see how he gets on. Jack is very alert of his surroundings and always being safe with what he’s doing on the roads. He did take a few wrong turns but he didn’t let that worry him :)

Millie did really well with all the traffic lights controlled roundabouts and counting the exits as well as moving towards the left to exit. This is Saima, she has done over 70 hours of driving lessons with a driving instructor. Saima has done 1 driving test but it was during covid times, so she was only able to drive for about 5 minutes before the test was terminated as she has made 1 serious mistake. Her driving test is coming up in 2 weeks time, so she wanted to see how she would get on.
This is Saima’s first driving lesson with me. She did a mock test with me in her last session, she did make a lot of mistakes. So in today’s lesson we were going over some of the same roundabouts and working on Siama’s approach to junctions. Her control of the vehicle has improved immensely since her last mock test. She is much more aware of her mistakes and knows how to improve from them.

In todays lesson with Erin we went over crossroads. It's easy just driving on the main road as you have priority, but crossing the main road from the side can be alot more challenging. Dealing with multiple hazards like pedestrians, cyclist and the unpredictable traffic on the main road. we started off on the smaller roads, by the end we were turning right from traffic light crossroads

In today’s driving lesson with Erin we started on dual carriageways and slip roads, how to enter and exit safely. This is Matt, who is a fire fighter for the London fire brigade. Matt has had a licence for nearly 20 years! He's been driving as a blue light driver for 6 years. He is an experienced driver and it shows! His driving was impressive! As a blue light driver you have to plan well in advance and be full aware of everything around your vehicle. Overall Matt drove very well, BUT... I can't even believe he made this mistake!

Last week I posted a video with Erin on her driving lesson, that clip caused a lot of confusion wether to stop or wait/ who the traffic light was for/ dealing with pedestrians... So today's video goes over a staggered traffic light crossroads where I will be going through all the questions that everyone was asking. Dealing with 2 sets of traffic lights that are placed close together. Horizontal louvers in traffic signals are used to limit the distance the green can be visible. This will be placed on the 2nd set of traffic lights. A driver at the 1st set of traffic lights and could have a red, but inadvertently see a green at the 2nd set of lights and drive through the first one.
This is Lovejit and learnt to drive with me last year. He has had a full driving licence for 1 year and 2 months. He has been driving on and off during this. So todays mock test is to see if Lovejit is still driving up to the same standard and to see if he would pass.

Today we have Mahfuz who's done over 100 hours of lessons with his instructor. He has had 3 failed driving tests, so he wanted to do mock test and get an idea on where he's going wrong. After this mock test Mahfuz did another lesson with his instructor. Where his instructor said that Mahfuz drove "100 times better in that lesson" in comparison to his last lesson, which was the week before.
Saima's back after two and half months off. She was very demotivated after her last driving test result, as she has been working so hard to get her licence. Todays she's come back in with her positive attitude and doesn't want to give up as she's so close!
Today's mock test is with Ishraq, who has only done 10 hours of professional driving lesson and has been driving an automatic car for the past year and a half. Ishraq only started driving manual this year and wanted to see how he would get on in a mock test.
Today's lesson is after a whole month, it started of with trying to sit in silence and getting Erin to be independent and drive without any guidance, that changed... Turning into an on going hazard perception and prompting lesson. Erin drives her own car in between lessons, the other car is much smaller than this one. So this does affect her judgement with space on her driving lesson.

In today's lesson we went back to Cranford to practice on some of the junctions that Erin was struggling with in her previous lesson. Jolly wagors roundabouts/ Henlys roundabout and also the nearside offside turns across the a4 and a312. These junctions can be challenging for experienced drivers, so it was going back to get a lot more practice in the area.

Today I made my way to Swindon to go check out the MAGIC ROUNDABOUT! I've heard the roundabout being mentioned a few times and I thought why not go check it out and see what all the fuss I about... So it's a roundabout that made up of 5 mini roundabouts. You can get to your exit from both directions, clockwise or anti clockwise...
