Sara is instantaneously jealous of Kaori's love for Ryo, but is able to come to terms with her feelings and cements a friendship with Kaori. Meanwhile, henchmen try to hire Umibozu to kill City Hunter but Umibozu instead gift wraps them for Ryo. They find out that Sara's Uncle was responsible for her father's death, and is trying to have Sara killed so he can inherit the family estate. Ryo decides to confront the Uncle directly.
Après s'être réconciliée avec Laura, Carole découvre que c'est son oncle, Paul Safukada, qui a fait assassiner son père et qui projetait de la tuer à son tour, afin d'hériter des biens de la famille. Nicky, Laura et Carole se rendent donc dans la magnifique résidence de l'oncle, où Carla le démasque. Il finira la fin de ses jours en prison. Le moment des adieux arrive et Carla doit se résigner à quitter Nicky, sachant pertinemment que Laura est la plus importante à ses yeux.

Sara está instantáneamente celosa del amor de Kaori por Ryo, pero puede aceptar sus sentimientos y consolida una amistad con Kaori. Mientras tanto, los secuaces intentan contratar a Umibozu para matar a City Hunter pero Umibozu, en cambio, los envuelve para Ryo. Descubren que el tío de Sara fue responsable de la muerte de su padre, y está tratando de matar a Sara para que pueda heredar el patrimonio familiar. Ryo decide enfrentarse al tío directamente.
