In each episode, the donkey Cadichon tells a story from his life. From the second season it is mainly about his travels to different places in the world. In his experiences with people he has to realize again and again that not everyone is well-disposed towards him. The series is based on the work Memories of a Donkey by Comtesse Sophie de Ségur.
