يصل عبسي وزوجته نورمان إلى أبوظبي بحثاً عن حياة أفضل، ليكتشفا أنهما وقعا ضحية احتيال ووعود كاذبة، فيبدأ الثنائي رحلة البحث عن العمل المناسب، ويتعرضان للكثير من الانتكاسات والخلافات، لتكون سبباً في تدخل الجيران والأقارب في حياتيهما، التي تسيطر عليها حالة الحب والحرب.
