The battle between Ichigo and Ginjo comes to a close when the latter receives a mortal wound. Just as Ginjo is about to die, Tsukishima tries to kill Ichigo but is stopped by Riruka. Tsukishima is later rescued by Shishigawara while the surviving Xcution members decide to separate. Ichigo later returns to Soul Society and requests that Head Captain Yamamoto let Ginjo's body be buried within the human world as the last thing he can do for him. Yamamoto agrees just as Ichigo accepts to continue being a Substitue Soul Reaper. Rukia see Ichigo off, recalling their time together and silently thanks him. Ichigo smiles and tells Rukia "See ya later" before returning to Karakura Town where he is greeted by his friends and family.
La bataille entre Ichigo et Gingo touche à sa fin. Ichigo doit décider de ce qu'il va faire maintenant que le rôle du "shinigami remplaçant" a été révélé.
La battaglia tra Ichigo e Ginjo si chiude quando quest'ultimo riceve una ferita mortale. Proprio quando Ginjo sta per morire, Tsukishima cerca di uccidere Ichigo ma viene fermato da Riruka. Tsukishima è poi salvato da Shishigawara, mentre i membri sopravvissuti della Xcution decidono di separarsi. Ichigo torna alla Soul Society e chiede che il corpo di Ginjo sia sepolto sulla Terra. Yamamoto acconsente e così Ichigo accetta di continuare ad essere uno Shinigami Delegato.
Finalmente culmina la batalla entre Ichigo y Ginjou. Los fullbringers parten cada cual por su camino y Tsukishima comprende con la derrota de Ginjou que no esta solo.
一護は虚化した銀城に新しい卍解の姿で向きあう。互いの刃と刃が激突するなか、銀城は一護が自分を理解しているような目をしていることに気づいた。そして、ついに一護と銀城の戦いに決着がつく。
