I can tell you from experience that settling for cheaper brands is *not* worth it as the difference in paint quality is significant. W&N paints are water soluble and so can be re-wetted and used again once dried, while most others dry into plastic and cannot be reused. This also means that the paint behaves differently on the paper during use: water soluble paints should be able to be reworked after drying, but the cheaper qualities can’t do that. I shall stop pontificating about paints now. Carry on.) Masking fluid: https://amzn.to/2SU4Q22 Background textured with tea leaves (Tetley’s English Breakfast if you must know). Fabric texturing from this random burlap bag I found.
