Die Einzigen, die unerschrocken gegen die Invasoren kämpfen, sind gewöhnliche Mädchen, und das ohne besonders große Armeen oder viele Waffen. The Shinjugammine Girls Academy is a school for these "Hoshimori" (Star Guardians) destined to fight the Irousu. The player is assigned to this academy to train the girls and take back the contaminated Earth. Serie tratta da un videogioco ambientato nel 2045, quando il mondo è stato invaso e contaminato dagli Irousu. Fronteggiare gli invasori è il compito affidato alle ordinarie studentesse dell'accademia femminile Shinjugamine, qui allenate per combattere il nemico. Diciotto ragazze vengono selezionate per formare la squadra delle "Hoshimori", ossia le Guardiane delle Stelle, poste a protezione della Terra e dei suoi abitanti.
