The US–China Strategic and Economic Dialogue brought high–ranking officials from both sides of the Pacific Ocean together in Washington DC. Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew led the U.S. contingent. Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, in charge of the economy, and State Councilor Yang Jiechi, handling foreign policy, headed China'sádelegation.
