Mithilfe von Computermodellen und Interviews mit führenden Wissenschaftlern beschäftigen wir uns mit Ptolemäus’ geozentrischem Weltbild, das 1500 Jahre Bestand haben sollte. Wir betrachten ein Astrolabium, mit dem der Islam astronomisches Wissen ansammelte, welches erst später wieder in Europa, unter anderem in Form der Prager Rathausuhr, Fuß fassen sollte. Zum Schluss zeigen wir, wie mit Kopernikus und Galileo Galilei das Umdenken vom geozentrischen zum heliozentrischen Weltbild beginnen sollte. (Text: ZDF.enterprises)
