Albert and Leon head down south to renovate a historic New Orleans double-shotgun home. The guys set out to do a major update to the house to increase the space's functionality while preserving the home's character and history. They swap the entryways, turning an underused foyer into a bold library and dining area; tackle an outdated kitchen and give the living room a serious facelift. While in the Big Easy, the guys experience all the city has to offer; taking their first taste of an oyster and alligator, and jumping in with a brass band parading through the streets of New Orleans!
Albert and Leon arrive on a ranch in Texas, to turn a rundown patio into a dream backyard, in the middle of an extreme cold front! The RENOgades build a pergola out of materials from an 80 year old barn on the property that they tear down, construct a full outdoor kitchen faced in limestone, rebuild a firepit, and rehabilitate the concrete and landscaping. In between builds, they discover what it means to be a true Texas cowboy, learning how to rope and entering a barbecue eating contest!
Albert and Leon head to the New York metropolitan area for a major bathroom renovation. They turn a basic, poorly designed master bath into a contemporary spa-like oasis of the homeowner's dreams, complete with a sleek tile design, cedar ceilings, and an Amish-made vanity. In between builds the RENOgades ditch the mustang for the subway, explore Times Square and broaden their culinary horizons, trying Indian food for the first time. Vindaloo anyone?
Albert and Leon go to Staten Island, NY to redo a conjoined dining room and living room in time for Christmas. They show off their Amish craftsmanship by making custom built-ins and furniture, and re-purposing old wooden floors from the rooms, in between finding reclaimed materials and exploring metal leaf painting. The RENOgades take a ferry ride to the city, have a cultural experience in Chinatown, and see that Christmas is definitely big in the Big Apple!
