Following the election of Abraham Lincoln, America's number one lawman Allan Pinkerton is hired to protect a strategic railroad from attack by Southern conspirators. There are rumors of a bomb that would prevent Lincoln from reaching Washington for his inauguration and put the Capitol in the hands of the South.
