Preparing for the East Catholic Valentine's Day dance, Meg tries to convince boyfriend Luke of the importance of the holiday, while Roxanne waits for a brave boy to ask her to the dance. Meanwhile, Jack, prompted by his doctor, seeks a second opinion regarding his lingering sickness, while JJ searches for forgiveness from Beth. Elsewhere, Patty braces for her own Valentine's Day festivities as she makes arrangements for her first coed party.

Meg se prépare pour le bal du lycée organisé pour la Saint-Valentin et essaie de convaincre son petit ami Luke de l'importance de cette journée. Roxanne, elle, attend qu'un brave garçon lui demande d'être sa cavalière pour le bal. Pendant ce temps, un souci de santé conduit Jack à l'hôpital alors que JJ implore le pardon de Beth. De son côté, Patty prépare sa propre Saint-Valentin, en organisant les préparatifs pour sa première fête mixte...

I due giovani scoprono così che le cose che li dividono sono molto più di quelle che li uniscono. Patty organizza una festa in casa. Jack ha un dolore al petto e viene condotto in ospedale. Roxanne riceve un invito da parte di un giovane che sta per entrare in seminario.
