    The first leg of Ade Adepitan's epic four-part journey around Africa takes him from Cape Verde, through Senegal and Ivory Coast to Nigeria. Cape Verde, a group of tiny volcanic islands in the Atlantic, is the westernmost country in Africa. On the bleak and beautiful island of Fogo, Ade visits a community living in the shadow of an active volcano. The last eruption left half the village buried in lava and Ade sees one family's living room which is now half full of black rock.

    The second leg of Ade Adepitan's epic four-part journey around Africa, a continent undergoing huge change. This leg takes him across Central Africa, from the coast of Gabon, through the giant Democratic Republic of Congo and on to Uganda.

    Ade begins this leg of his journey in Tanzania, in Selous Game Reserve. He is on the lookout for elephants but numbers in this park have fallen by 90% over the last few decades.

    The final leg of Ade Adepitan’s epic tour of Africa sees him travelling from the beaches of Mozambique, through South Africa, before ending his entire trip in Zimbabwe.
