In this episode, we head to South Africa to hunt with our good friends Kiley and Troy Mathews. This is Gina’s first trip to Africa and it is an awesome one. We take 12 animals and 10 of those were with a bow. This is a 3-show series with some incredible hunting, fast paced entertainment and some unbelievable site-seeing, so make sure you check it out as we launch our 2009 season.
This week we start off in Georgia, turkey hunting with our friends Rudd and Tim. But, after a couple of tough days, we head back to central Florida to see if our bud Greg Lovett, with Lovett Outdoors, can help us get on a bird. This ends up being a short trip with quite a bit of action, so make sure you check it out.
This week, we are in Kentucky hunting whitetails with Big Buck Properties, and our good friend Brad Miller (center for the Chicago Bulls) joins us. This ends up being a trip of a lifetime, with Gina taking the new Kentucky state record with a bow by a woman, which landed her on the cover of Realtree’s Monster Buck DVD series. This week on Addicted To The Outdoors Jon and Gina are headed to Big Buck Properties in Kentucky for an early season whitetail bow hunt. Joining them is their good friend, NBA star Brad Miller. The weather is hot but the bucks are moving and arrows are flying.
This trip Jon and Gina meet up with Brad Miller and head way down under to the south island of New Zealand. Working with Southern Hunting Safaris, Jon and Gina go after red stag and ram while Brad focuses on quenching his thirst for fallow deer.
Jon, Gina and Brad are concluding their New Zealand hunt by hiking up mountain peaks where the tahr and chamois hide. The pressure is still on for Jon to get his red stag and Brad has a long descent ahead if he wants his tahr.
This week Jon and Gina are headed back to their favorite mule deer camp, Deer Meadows Outfitters in Nebraska. They are both looking to fill their tags with a monster muley! With a couple of new Limbsaver bows up for grabs for this year’s competition, that shouldn’t be a problem. Tune in to see which guide will win by getting their hunter the biggest buck.
This week Jon and Gina head to Arkansas to do a little duck hunting with their good friend Kevin Jones. The weather is cold and the ducks are giving them a hard time, but Kevin has some tricks up his sleeve that puts everyone on some ducks. Then, on the last day, Jon and Gina find themselves hiking through a half-frozen lake to get to the right spot for the hunt.
This week Jon and Gina head to Mexico in search of monster muleys and coues deer with their bows. They will be hunting with Ubaldo Lopez of Ubaldo Lopez Outfitting. Also joining them is the team from Africa Sport Hunting Safaris. On the first morning of the hunt Ubaldo let’s Jon know he has tags for everything. That’s good news to Jon who is hunting with the brand new Limbsaver Proton bow and wants to be the first person to get a kill with it. This week wraps up Jon and Gina’s trip to Mexico hunting with Ubaldo Lopez Outfitters. Jon is hot on the trail of a monster mule deer with the new Limbsaver Proton bow, while Gina is going after her own monster muley. They also take some time to do a little deep sea fishing, taking in everything Mexico has to offer.
This week Jon and Gina are hunting with Greg Lovett of Gotta Lovett Outdoors. They are in search of Osceola Turkey in Bushnell, FL. They also brought all the kids to hang out and do some evening hog hunting. Last year Jon tagged out the first morning and is looking for a repeat. The Brunsons are back at the annual Big Buck Games at Big Buck Properties in Western Kentucky. They are here to hunt and have a good time with veterans of the Gulf War. That’s why when Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton wanted to go hunt big gators with their bows, it was a no-brainer to call up Jon and Gina. There is no shortage of big gators and during the day Terry takes everyone to a secret bass fishing hole. All we have to say about that is 65+ bass were caught, all in the 5-8 lb. range, with some getting as big as 10 pounds! And that was in 2 hours, so make sure you don’t miss this episode!

This is Jon and Gina’s first time at Country Goes Huntin, a charity event for veterans to hunt with country stars like Craig Morgan and TV personalities like Jon and Gina Brunson. The turkey hunting is a blast and it turned out to be a great event that ended with a great country concert.
This gun and archery hunt is packed with a little bit of country and rock n’ roll as Jon and Gina head to Big Buck Properties where they meet up with country singer Chuck Wicks and rock superstar Aaron Lewis. The hunt starts out a little slow but all the conditions are right for Jon and Gina to get a nice whitetail.
Jon and Gina are back at Deer Meadows Outfitters in the Nebraska sand hills after mule deer. Breaking out the TC’s this trip Jon is hopeful about getting after the buck he has dubbed “Ghost” while Gina finds herself in front of a nice muley, multiple times.

Deer management proved to be quite difficult when set up in someone’s back yard. There are some great bucks in the area though, and hunting inside the urban zone is something totally different.

It’s been a while since the Brunsons have been on a good duck hunt, so they were fired up about this trip because their long time friend Kevin Jones was taking them to an incredible place, where they had been hearing stories of the sky being black from massive clouds of ducks.

This week Jon and Gina Brunson start off hunting their own property in Kansas with good friends Mike and Lynn Sanders. After getting a plan together the crew feels good about filling their tags, and with Mike around you know everyone is in for a laugh. After hunting Kansas they were invited over to hunt Iowa by Randy Ferman of Extreme Hunting Solutions. It’s off to Kentucky again to do something both Jon and Gina thought they would never try, Noodlin. They are back at it with good friends from Kentucky Lake Outdoors and everyone is excited to get back into the water. After the sun sets it’s back on the water for a little bowfishing action. Long time friend and retired NBA superstar Brad Miller finally has the lodge of his dreams, and the ATTO crew is invited to come break in the new “B52 Properties.” Being able to hunt in 3 states from one location has its advantages. There’s one buck that’s been showing up in trail cam photos on a Michigan property. Brad named him “Towers” and has been watching him for a while.
The other half of the hunt at Brad Miller’s “B52 Properties” happened in Indiana, and just because Jon was able to fill his tag on a nice buck in Michigan, that did not slow him down. Taking advantage of being able to hunt 3 states from one lodge, the whole crew switches to Indiana and though it may take some hard hunting, tags begin to get filled.
Heading to Wyoming for a first time Antelope hunt, the Brunsons meet up with their good friend Brad Miller. Spot and stalking in the sand hills is never an easy task, but as the bad weather rolls through the team presses on and starts filling tags.
Deer Meadows Outfitters is a yearly stop for the Brunsons, mixing it up they go a little later in the year for muzzleloader season. With no zones to hold the crew back, they have over 300,000 acres to put the spot and stalk on some bucks and cover some ground in the sand hills. They may not get it done the first day, but in the end Jon is left with minutes of light, waiting for a shot on what could be his biggest mule deer yet.
Down in Texas they like to do things a little different, and that’s what happens when Jon takes a charity auction winner on his first gator hunt, this is also Jons first gator hunt outside FL. Then after that the whole crew loads up for a couple days of wing shooting.
It’s time for the debut event of the World Turkey Hunting Championships in La Cygne, Kansas. TV and Music Celebrities from all over will be teaming up to hunt for a chance at the title of Worlds Best Turkey hunter. Also supporting the KWO foundation, this event is raising money for a good cause all while enjoying the outdoors. There is even a Toby Keith benefit concert to top it all off.
