Heather and her four kids prepare the newest addition to the family. Sumi's labor has ended in a Cesarean section, and she seems numb and traumatized by the whole experience. Shirley and her husband Mike visit the cemetery where their first child, who was still-born, is buried. Now, Shirley is eight months pregnant again, and coping with a number of health complications and heartache. Meanwhile, Heather's blood pressure isn't improving and her dream of an "at home water birth" surrounded by her other four children is shattered.
