大門亨が死んだ。大門副総理（山路和弘）に対するレイプ事件“もみ消し”疑惑を告発しようとしていたことを知る拓朗（眞栄田郷敦）は、その死の意味を理解し、言葉を失う。
一方の村井（岡部たかし）は、亨の正義を踏みにじり、自らの保身のため、身内の死をもってすべてに終止符を打とうとする大門のやり方、さらに、権力という名の悪から目をそらし、平然と報道を続けるマスコミのあり方に怒りを爆発させる。
『ニュース8』のスタジオに殴り込んできた村井のただならぬ様子を見た恵那（長澤まさみ）は、その真意を知りたいと拓朗の元を訪ねる。しかし、拓朗は今度こそ、この一件から手を引くと宣言する。深い失意と恐怖に襲われる拓朗の言葉に、恵那が出した答えは…！？
뉴스8의 스튜디오에서 난동을 피운 무라이 때문에 무슨 일이 있었음을 직감한 에나. 집에서 은둔 중인 타쿠로를 찾아가 다이몬 토루의 인터뷰를 듣고 그의 죽음에 얽힌 진실을 알게 된다. 이제 그만하자는 타쿠로와 달리, 뉴스8에서 이 인터뷰를 공개하기로 결심한 에나. 방송을 앞두고 긴장감이 감도는 스튜디오에 쇼이치가 나타난다.
Daimon Toru is dead. Takuro (Maeda Go Atsushi), who knows that he was about to accuse Daimon's Deputy Prime Minister (Yamaji Kazuhiro) of "covering up" the rape case against him, understands the meaning of his death and is left speechless. Murai (Okabe Takashi), on the other hand, is outraged at Daimon's attempt to put an end to all this by trampling on Toru's justice and using the death of his own family member to save his own skin, and at the way the media continues to turn a blind eye to the evil in the name of power and report on it with impunity. Ena (Nagasawa Masami), who saw Murai's unusual behaviour when he stormed into the News 8 studio, visits Takuro to find out his true intentions. However, Takuro declares that this time he will back out of the case. Ena's answer to Takuro's deep disappointment and fear is...!
