心をとらわれ話すこともできない画家・樹（SUMIRE）からの菜穂への訴えは、師匠であり京都画壇の大家である照山（松重豊）との因縁を感じさせるものだった。事情通の記者・木戸（マキタスポーツ）は、樹の生い立ちにまつわる危険な噂を語る。一方、経営する画廊が突如倒産の危機にひんした一輝と父・智昭（菅原大吉）は、菜穂の美術館が所蔵するモネの「睡蓮」を穴埋めの売買に利用するため、克子に禁断の接近を試みる。
The painter Juki (Sumire), who is trapped in her mind and unable to speak, appeals to Naho, reminding her of her relationship with Teruyama (Yutaka Matsushige), her teacher and a great master of the Kyoto art world. Kido (Makita Sports), a reporter with knowledge of the situation, tells him about a dangerous rumor about Tree's upbringing. Meanwhile, Kazuki and his father Tomoaki (Daikichi Sugawara), whose art gallery is suddenly in danger of bankruptcy, attempt to make a forbidden approach to Katsuko in order to use Monet's "Water Lilies," which is in the collection of Naho's museum, as a trade to fill the hole.
