Rose is excited to enter the next chapter of her life with her launch of her book, "Brave," and the press tour to promote it. But as the media focuses more on the details of Rose's assault instead of the message in her book, her years of built up trauma start to surface and Rose is pushed to her breaking point when a protestor disrupts a reading of her book at Barnes and Noble.
After being verbally attacked by a protestor at a reading for her book, Rose cancels the remainder of her press tour and travels with her aunt, Rory, to an undisclosed location to begin therapy to address a lifetime's worth of trauma. In therapy, Rose comes face to face with the tough knowledge that, in order to rebuild her life, she might have to scale back her activism and start living for herself.
