Emma Thélier, capitaine de police, est en congés en Charente-Maritime chez sa mère, lorsque, au détour de son jogging, elle tombe sur un homme assassiné. Emma, qui connaît bien la région, se voit confier l’enquête en compagnie du capitaine de gendarmerie Adrien Klévec, avec qui elle a passé la nuit précédente. Une aventure sans lendemain pour les deux policiers, aussi gênés l’un que l’autre de se retrouver en binôme. Ils décident de faire comme s’il ne s’était rien passé entre eux et commencent l'enquête pour découvrir qui a abattu cet homme d’une balle en argent. Emma préfère le terrain et l'action, Adrien, l'étude analytique des dossiers et des profils... tout les oppose et pourtant, ils ne peuvent dissimuler leur attirance réciproque. De nouveaux meurtres sont perpétrés... jusqu’où l'enquête va-t-elle les mener ?

Emma, who knows the region well, is entrusted with the investigation in the company of gendarmerie captain Adrien Klévec, with whom she spent the previous night. A one-night stand for the two policemen, both as embarrassed as each other to find themselves in pairs.
