Une jeune bibliothécaire découvre l'existence d'une pièce secrète dans le bâtiment où elle travaille. Curieuse, elle y rentre par effraction et trouve des artefacts entreposer dont un livre qui lui révèle l'existence d'une légende sur sa ville. Prise en flagrant délit, elle est mise à la porte et licencier. Depuis, elle s'est mis en quête de ce mythe sans se douter de la convoitise qu'il suscite.
