1995. Evdokia from a remote village comes to the city and goes to study at a pedagogical school. In the hostel, Evdokia is placed in the company of rampant classmates who prefer a fun and carefree life to study. Brought up by her parents in strict moral principles, Dunya constantly suffers from them ridicule and mockery. Further events develop with rapid speed: Dunya marries Larion, but family relations are difficult, the mother-in-law did not accept the girl. Since the family will have to leave for permanent residence in Germany, the mother-in-law decides to take extreme measures, luring Dunya into a trap, she locks her in an uninhabited house and demands the rejection of marriage…
