Popular film and television actress Ulka Gupta started out as a child artist, and rose to prominence when she essayed the role of Manu in the historical drama television series Jhansi Ki Rani. Her performance in the show earned the young actress several accolades, including the Indian Telly Award for Most Popular Child Artist. Subsequently, she made her big-screen debut in Tollywood, appearing in the films Andhra Pori and Rudhramadevi in 2015. Other significant acting credits include the Bollywood thriller movie Traffic (2016), Bengali drama Shrestha Bangali (2017), the Marathi romantic drama Odh - Maitritil Avyakt Bhavna (2018) and the upcoming historical film "1857 Diary: The Hidden Pages'' (2024), which directed by Umesh Bhardwaj.
