Lambis Nikolaou was the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee (1985-1992; 1997-2004), Member of the IOC from 1986 to 2015; Honorary Member since 2016; Member of the Executive Board (2001-2005); Vice-President (2005-2009), Vice-President of the Organising Committee for the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad in 2004 in Athens.
