Simone Thérèse Fernande Simon got her start in motion pictures in 1931 when she appeared as a singer in the film Le Chanteur Inconnu, she had her first major hit as Jean Gabin's co-star in La Bête Humaine (1938). Simone's best work however, was in the cult horror classic Cat People (1942).
