Christoph Dreher

Dreher is a filmmaker, musician and scriptwriter. In 1980 he was co-founder and bass player of the post-punk band "Die Haut". As director, Dreher has been creating audiovisual works since 1979. While still a student, he made several music clips, e.g. for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds ("Tupelo", "The Singer" and "Mercy Seat"). In numerous documentary films/series, Dreher dealt with issues from the area of pop culture. The innovative style of his films received recognition (Grimme Award, 1994).
