Mark Messier is a Canadian former NHL center, known as one of the greatest players in hockey history. He played from 1979 to 2004 with the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and Vancouver Canucks, winning six Stanley Cups—five with the Oilers and one with the Rangers. Messier is the only player to captain two teams to championships. He ranks second in playoff points (295), third in regular season points (1887), and played 1756 games. A two-time Hart Trophy winner and 15-time All-Star, Messier was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007.
