Rama Rao born to a farming couple, Nandamuri Lakshmaiah and Venkata Ramamma, but was given in adoption to his paternal uncle. He attended school at first in his village, and later in Vijayawada. He was an actor politician who changed the way politics was perceived in Survarna Telugu Raajyam (Combined Andhra Pradesh). After his entry into politics, he was betrayed by his party and family members for power and wealth, which lead to his eventual death.
