Sons of Russian Jewish immigrants from the Ukraine, the Ames Brothers were among the top selling artists of the early 1950s. The group included Joe (1921-2007), Gene (1923-1997), Vic (1925-1978) and Ed (1927-2023). The Ames Brothers disbanded in the early 1960's and Ed Ames went on to pursue an acting career.
