Lina Romay

Maria Elena "Lina" Romay was a Mexican-American actress and singer, the daughter of Porfirio Romay, then-attache to the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles. In 1943 an MGM talent scout spotted Lina singing at the Waldorf and offered her a seven-year movie contract. Lina became a pin-up girl when she appeared on the cover of Yank magazine in the May 18, 1945 issue.
