Matheus Nachtergaele

Matheus Nachtergaele, (São Paulo, January 3, 1968) is a Brazilian actor, director and author. His success took him to television (Rede Globo), where he debuted in the miniseries Hilda Furacão as Cintura Fina. The success in the miniseries led him to play the protagonist in the miniseries that became a film A Dog's Will, based on the work of Ariano Suassuna, in the role of João Grilo. This performance earned him the National Cinema Grand Prix for Best Actor. Since then, he has made numerous appearances in national cinema and, in 2008, he debuted as a director without ever leaving theater and television aside.
