James Richard Hughes Bacon was a reporter and columnist specializing in the entertainment industry. He is the only actor to appear in all five films in the original 'Planet of the Apes' series. He played an ape in all of them except for Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), in which he played a human, General Faulkner. It was also the only one of the films in which he was credited.
