Atalo es un zapatero muy coqueto y a pesar de tener a su mujer quien aparte de ser prostituta le reprocha la miseria en la que vive, él pretende a Bertha, quien trabaja en un local de ropa a un lado. Ella se decepciona porque anda de coqueto con otras mujeres pero finalmnete Atalo demuestra su interés sincero y anuncia que se van a casar.
